Crowdguard bolsters crowd safety capabilities with two new temporary fencing solutions

Crowdguard – the UK-headquartered specialist in temporary event safety and crowd management solutions – has added two additional systems to its range: FenceSafe fencing systems and FenceSafe Hoard.

Event venues find themselves increasingly vulnerable to an array of threats – from vandalism through to more sophisticated criminal/terrorist activity, alongside the spread of Covid-19 infection. UK firm Crowdguard is a specialist event protection, crowd protection and HVM provider, dedicated to increasing public safety and freedom for crowds and public events. The company’s recent extension of its portfolio of temporary fencing solutions further supports such ambition.

Innovative, foundation-free temporary fencing

FenceSafe from CLD fencing systems is a temporary fencing solution that supports rigid mesh fencing, profiled double wire fencing and 358 mesh systems from CLD’s permanent fencing range and includes the first ever LPS 1175 SR1 security rated temporary fencing system.

The BS EN 1991 compliant temporary fencing system utilises a patented temporary fencing base with a 200kg ballast capacity. The innovative cantilever base design allows foundation-free installation of all fencing systems to enable rapid deployment anywhere around the world. The four-way adjustable bracket to attach the required fencing system ensures a true fence line regardless of the gradient on-site, and the solution has anti-jam pins for ease of stacking, as well as forklift entry points to enable the base to be moved and lifted into position easily on site.

The patented FenceSafe base can be deployed with a variety of fencing options to match the solution to the specific requirements of the site and the event. Crowdguard will offer FenceSafe Eclipse, Dulok-Lite and SR1, along with FenceSafe-E, an active monitored pulse temporary fence solution, and FenceGate Swing Gate, a single or double gate system for access and egress.

“Whether you’re creating a temporary events space, reconfiguring a venue or stadium, segregating crowds for safety purposes or protecting a site or specific area, it can be difficult to find a temporary installation that’s robust enough to deliver a safe and secure solution,” remarked Deborah Ainscough, Director of Crowdguard.

“With the FenceSafe temporary fencing systems we’re now offering, we can provide a rapid, robust and safe system for any environment, backed by our expertise in crowd management, our skilled team, and our in-house fleet of vehicles. The result is a fast, flexible and cost-effective approach to keeping people and property safe and secure.”

Rapid-installation, temporary hoarding system

Alongside the FenceSafe temporary fencing systems now offered by Crowdguard,  the company is also able to provide the FenceSafe Hoard system, a rapid installation temporary hoarding solution. Manufactured from a highly durable composite recycled plastic sectional profile, the system consists of tongue and grove boards that click-fix together, and slot into engineered steel rails and channels. The BS EN 1991 compliant system is quick to install, versatile and robust.

“Our aim is to provide an industry leading portfolio of crowd management and safety solutions, along with rapid service and expert deployment, enabling us to offer a best-fit approach for any event and any environment,” continued Ms. Ainscough.

“Our track record in providing and installing temporary crowd management and anti-terror safety solutions, including the award-winning Surface Guard, means that we have become the go-to name for turnkey crowd safety installations and these new additions to our range build on that reputation,” she added.
