20/03/2018 – News / Automation Instrumentation Summit (AIS) / Italy

Automation Instrumentation Summit returns to Italy in July

Internationality and a focus on the hot topics of the oil & gas sector, and on the supply chain of direct interest: these are the main features outlined by the Scientific Committee as the guidelines of the upcoming Automation Instrumentation Summit (AIS) – set to be held from 4-5 July this year in the exclusive setting of the Castello di Belgioioso, just a few kilometers from Pavia, Italy.

The confirmation of the prestigious venue for the second edition of the well-received Automation Instrumentation Summit – promoted by AIS (Italian Association of Instrumentation) and ISA Italy (The International Society of Automation) – aims to be a sign of continuity with the organisers’ goal: promoting meetings between customers and suppliers in a unique atmosphere.

Diverse array of exhibiters and reports

The announcement of the 2018 event was greeted with enthusiasm by the exhibitors present at the first edition and by new companies, which have already formalised their participation. Those companies belong to the following product sectors: measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering, system integrators, valves, safety and explosion protection systems, explosion-proof electrical equipment, sensors and components for industry, measurement and control of the level, flow, pressure and temperature of industrial processes, solutions for automation and control, actuators, flanges, and connectors.

“The objective we have set ourselves is to renew the success of 2017, both in terms of the exhibition area and the reports presented at the Conference sessions,” said Claudio Montresor, Vice President of AIS. “The appreciation received at the end of the event and the enthusiasm of all those who collaborated on the success of the 2017 premiere, are promising also for the next edition.

“The themes chosen as guidelines for the single sessions are the result of the economic and geo-political situation that is characterising the segment’s evolution and future developments,” he continues.

The scientific secretariat has received a diverse array of interesting abstracts, the deadline for submission having been extended to 9th February. The event conference programme will be released on 2nd April.

The Italian Association of Instrumentation (A.I.S.) and  – a non-profit association focused on promoting the knowledge of instruments and systems for measurement and control by means of meetings, conferences and literature – is a promoter of the event, alongside I.S.A. Italy Section, the Italian Section of ISA (Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society), an international association of about 40,000 professionals involved in the automation and process control instrumentation.
