Middle East’s largest glass event starts today

The demand for innovative and green applications for the built landscape is surging in the region and glass, a sustainable and fully recyclable material, is fast becoming the perfect solution to today’s environment based challenges. In the lead-up to Expo 2020 and Dubai Smart City Vision 2021, Gulf Glass 2017 – which starts today (25th Sept) and runs through to 27th – brings this optimum material to the forefront of trading. Here we offer a peek at some of the leading innovators on display at the event.
Gulf Glass. The largest flat & container glass event in the GCC will pull together over 140 of the industry’s leading glass manufacturers and solution providers from around the world. Exhibitors such as C3 Systems S.L., LandGlass, HORN Glass Industries AG, Tec-Pro Group, HIET, IOCCO and many more will showcase finished products, glass production machinery, tools, and glass processing/finishing solutions.
A glass act in innovation
Spanish based C3 Systems S.L. will present frameless glazing systems which pair modern design with efficient protection, ensuring that the building’s aesthetic is never disrupted.
Another key supplier of finished glass products, LandGlass Technology Co., Ltd. will launch for the first time in the UAE, a tempered vacuum glass that can boast to beat the thermal insulation of a one-metre-thick brick wall.
German HORN Glass Industries AG will bring 130 years’ experience to Gulf Glass 2017 along with glass production machinery such as furnaces and forehearths for the production of multiple finished glass products.
The launch of the Tec-Pro Spacer will be one of many consumable materials and tools for the glass sector to be showcased at the event. Business Development Director of Tec-Pro Group Dr. Meriem Lakhdara reveals there will also be a cutting table live demonstration at Gulf Glass.
GCC’s premier glass industry gathering
Providers of glass processing and finishing solutions will also be present at Gulf Glass 2017. Marcel Dagher, General Manager of key exhibitor HIET endorses it as “the perfect place to access influencers, meet new flat and container glass manufacturers, processors, fabricators, contractors and engineers, as well as develop a more powerful and engaging experience with HIET’s valued clients.”
Another key solutions provider, Italy based IOCCO, will present a specific focus on the flat glass industry. Promoting the “most efficient solutions for both costs and performances from the simplest machinery to the most complex production”, IOCCO will target the home appliance and PV market, responding to upcoming government policies backing the Smart City Dubai 2021 vision.
In 2015, the event welcomed 4,381 visitors bringing together 127 exhibiting brands from 20 countries. Gulf Glass 2017 will run from 25-27 September in Halls 4-5 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and is sponsored by Mountain Glass, Tecpro and Forel as Gold Sponsors, in addition to Glass Source as the Exclusive Glass Solutions Sponsor.
