UACJ to open R&D Centre in Thailand

Japanese aluminium manufacturer UACJ Corporation has announced it will establish a new R&D Centre in Thailand as an R&D base for aluminium materials, which have growing markets in Asia.
The new centre will be UACJ’s third research and development base following those set up in Japan and the US as part of its R&D globalisation strategy.
The new centre will be located in the vicinity of Bangkok, offering easy access to the company’s production bases in the ASEAN region, as well as to its customers. UACJ Group companies such as UACJ Foil Malaysia Sdn Bhd and UACJ Foundry & Forging (Vietnam) Co. Ltd currently manufacture and supply various types of aluminium materials in the ASEAN region.
UACJ Group regards Thailand as a core production base in the ASEAN, and has already established UACJ (Thailand) Co. Ltd, a core factory, which is in the process of expanding. In addition to that, UACJ also oversees group companies in Thailand.
Establishing the new R&D Centre will enable UACJ to provide quick and accurate technological services to its customers in the ASEAN region, as well as developing new products and technologies according to regional needs. The new facility is due to open on 1st October 2018.
