UK’s adi Group ranked amongst world’s most sustainable and socially responsible businesses for second year running

Globally recognised accreditation company EcoVadis has presented UK multidisciplinary engineering firm adi Group with a platinum award for its sustainable and socially responsible business efforts.

For the second year in a row, multi-faceted engineering outfit adi Group – which works with some of the world’s leading manufacturing organisations – has been awarded the Platinum EcoVadis Accreditation.

The EcoVadis award is one of the most prestigious in the industry, with the criteria focusing on four key themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Ranking in the Top 1% of companies worldwide

Having retained its Platinum Accreditation from EcoVadis, adi Group achieved an impressive score of 76 out of 100, and now sits in the top one per cent of businesses in the world who are accredited by this globally renowned ratings platform.

Alan Lusty, CEO of adi Group (pictured, above) is delighted at the firm’s latest award and recognition. “To achieve as well as retain this accreditation is a testament to all of our responsible business activities, along with the continuous improvement culture we uphold so well across the Group,” he remarked.

“We are beyond thrilled to have been awarded the Platinum Accreditation yet again, demonstrating our on-going sustainability and socially responsible business efforts,” Mr Lusty continued.

Delivering first-class results amidst challenging dynamics

Despite the on-going challenges that have beset the world in recent years, adi Group and its employees have led the way for the engineering industry, continuing to deliver first-class results without a break in supply chain.

From remote working through to continuing to drive energy efficiency, adi has continued to help clients and the likes of food & beverage manufacturers to adapt to such needs.

CSR and sustainability-driven efforts

“This award is indicative of the pride and passion we take in all our work, from our local communities right through to worldwide organisations,” adi Group’s CEO added.

The new accolade serves to shine a spotlight on adi’s many achievements within the realm of sustainability and social responsibility – from its RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety to its CSR and responsible business activities.

The firm's on-going volunteering and charity work, its commitment to the Apprentice 5% Club, and its placement in ‘The Times Best Companies to Work For’ survey all contributed to adi Group being awarded this accreditation.

Explaining the group’s passion and involvement for engineering a better future, Mr Lusty said the business continued to partner with various schools for its pre-apprentice program, including Kings Norton Boys School. “And this result is a testament to adi Group’s excellent responsible business program and initiatives, as well as our employee's on-going and tireless hard work,” he added.
